BLOG

A blog (a truncation of the expression web log) is a discussion or informational site published on the World Wide Web and consisting of discrete entries ("posts") typically displayed in reverse chronological order (the most recent post appears first). Until 2009 blogs were usually the work of a single individual, occasionally of a small group, and often covered a single subject. More recently "multi-author blogs" (MABs) have developed, with posts written by large numbers of authors and professionally edited. MABs from newspapers, other media outlets, universitiesthink tanksadvocacy groups and similar institutions account for an increasing quantity of blog traffic. The rise of Twitter and other "microblogging" systems helps integrate MABs and single-author blogs into societal newstreams. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

The emergence and growth of blogs in the late 1990s coincided with the advent of web publishing tools that facilitated the posting of content by non-technical users. (Previously, a knowledge of such technologies as HTML and FTP had been required to publish content on the Web.)
majority are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via GUI widgets on the blogs, and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites. In that sense, blogging can be seen as a form of social networking service

MEHNDI

Mehndi or Henna is a paste that is bought in a cone shaped tube and is made into designs for men and women. It is also derived from theSanskrit word mendhikā. The use of mehndi and turmeric is described in the earliest Hindu Vedic ritual books. It was originally used for only women's palms and never for men, but as time progressed, it is more natural for men to wear it. Haldi (staining oneself with turmeric paste) as well as mehndi are Vedic customs, intended to be a symbolic representation of the outer and the inner sun. Vedic customs are centered around the idea of "awakening the inner light". Traditional Indian designs are of representations of the sun on the palm, which, in this context, is intended to represent the hands and feet.

Caring for the wetlands is everyone's responsibility.

1.What are the wetlands?

The wetlands are the lands areas covered with water.
They include mangrove swamps, deltas, paddy fields, coral reefs, lakes, rivers, disused mining pools, etc. They can be both natural and manmade.

2.Why do we need to protect the wetlands?

For survival: The wetlands are the source of fresh water. They must be conserved to meet the needs of the population.
For biological diversity: Many species of plants, mammals reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates thrives here.
For cleansing: The wetlands  act as ' kidneys',transforming water pollutants through physical, chemical and biological processes-an inexpensive method of purrification.
To maintain water levels: The wetlands can store excess water.
For ecological reasons: The wetlands are among the world's richest ecosystem. They provide man with rice, seafooods, flowers, fruits and other edibles.
For economic reason: Wood from mangrove swamps provide timber. The mangrove forest is also a rich feeding ground and nursery for many marine crustaceans and fishes.
For preservative of wildlife: The wetlands are a heaven for wildlife and are a part of our natural heritage.

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is the first known list of the most remarkable creations of classical antiquity; it was based on guidebooks popular among Hellenic sightseers and only includes works located around the Mediterranean rim. The number seven was chosen because the Greeks believed it represented perfection and plenty, and because it was the number of the five planets known anciently, plus the sun and moon.
